What are the benefits to pharmacies?
Telehealth is an increasingly popular cost-saving solution that uses advances in technology to expand health care beyond a pharmacies traditional retail offering. videoDoc also offers a support system to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of this arrangement via its Care Team. Having videoDoc available to your customers will compliment and enhance existing retail services, and can also help create and manage new relationships with pharmacy customers.
What other videoDoc services can pharmacies avail of?
Here at videoDoc, we understand there are times when it can be difficult to access healthcare. Our mission is to make the highest quality healthcare more easily accessible to patients. We are delighted to see that there are a growing number of pharmacists offering videoDoc onine services in their consultation rooms. This convenient facility for customers of the pharmacy doesn’t involve a commercial arrangement between videoDoc and the pharmacy owner. Providing such a facility to your customer (direct access to a GP at their fingertips) at no extra cost to the pharmacy owner, will increase patient satisfaction and offers pharmacies the opportunity to increase their healthcare offerings in-store.
What if a patient doesn't want videoDoc to contact their pharmacy directly?
Patients can request their prescription to be sent directly to themselves. We are happy to send the original prescription to the patient at their home address the next working day.
What about the original prescription?
Here at videoDoc, we understand the responsibilities that a pharmacy has in relation to its patients. That’s why we ensure that the original prescriptions are sent to the pharmacy within 72 hours.
How does the prescription process work?
Part of the attraction of videoDoc is the option for a patient to get their prescription faxed directly to a pharmacy of their choice. Our dedicated Care Team provide a support service to ensure this process runs smoothly for both the patient and the pharmacy. First, the videoDoc Care Team will call the pharmacy to confirm fax details and to advise of the patient’s request. The confirmation from the pharmacist’s prescription is then sent via secure GPDP-compliant efax service or health mail if the pharmacy is registered. After the fax is sent, our Care Team will also follow up with the pharmacy to confirm that the prescription has been received. Once this is confirmed, videoDoc will send the patient a text message to advise them that the prescription has been sent.
