We all feel down sometimes, but a low mood that lingers day after day can often be a sign that you have depression. It is described as an episode of sadness or apathy that lasts for at least two consecutive weeks and is bad enough to interrupt your daily activity. It is neither a sign of weakness nor a negative personality, it is a major public health concern and one that we take very, very seriously. If you are feeling low, we do suggest contacting your doctor to discuss things. Depression is a very treatable medical condition and although you may feel like nothing can help, we can assure you that you will feel better after talking to us about some of the options available to you to help you to overcome these feelings.
