Sinusitis

This is a swelling of the tissues surrounding the sinuses. Normally, your sinuses are filled with air but when they become blocked with fluid, germs can grow and cause infection. Sinusitis is caused by a number of factors, a cold, allergic rhinitis (the swelling of the lining of the nose) small growths in the lining of your nose or a deviated septum. You are more likely to suffer from this if you have immune system deficiencies or are on medications that suppress the immune system. Needless to say, suffering from sinusitis is extremely uncomfortable. The main signs you have it include facial pain or pressure, the loss of your smell function, a runny nose, fever and dental pain.
