Feeling Down

This is a condition that makes you feel slightly off balance. Symptoms can include dizziness and the feeling of spinning which can often be overwhelming, especially the first time it happens. The cause of vertigo is usually an issue with the inner ear – the part of the body that controls balance and stability. Vertigo can be caused by an ear infection, an injury, certain medications or interference with ear signals. Some describe it as the feeling of swaying when you move your head. This can manifest itself as spinning, tilting or being off balance. That disorientated feeling can also cause nausea, headache or blurred vision. Speak to your doctor about a treatment plan if you are experiencing vertigo in any form. It is usually short-term and more serious cases can be treated with exercises to help strengthen the vestibular system.
